A Counselling Service in Winchester

I have worked as an adult counsellor since 1995. I have worked with children and young people in schools as well as seeing individuals at my home in Winchester since 2006. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and hold an enhanced CRB to work with children.

Children and young people come to me who are struggling with a wide range of difficulties including anger, anxiety, relationship and family breakdown, attachment difficulties, bullying, domestic violence, bereavement, abuse and neglect. Some find it more helpful to talk; others use the creative media- sand tray, clay, paints and puppets. They use these to demonstrate the problem, work out issues and come to terms with things.

I also work with adults using talk or creative media depending on which is most helpful for the client. Sometimes representing the issue in a creative way uncovers deeper feelings that ‘cut to the heart’ of the issue and really help to resolve things. People come to me who have difficulties with relationships, depression, self esteem and the like.
